Objectives for Session 1: Third Grade
- Students will differentiate between assertive and aggressive behaviors.
Outline for Session 1: Third Grade
- Introduction:
- Introduce yourself.
- Introduce the Safe@Last program.
- Introduce components of all four sessions.
- Go over rules for answering and asking questions.
- II. Review:
- Introduce and hand out Student Journal.
- Have students work on the word search in groups of two or three.
- New Topics:
- Introduce assertiveness and aggressiveness.
- Discuss assertiveness.
- Complete Student Journal page 7.
- Discuss aggressiveness.
- Complete Student Journal page 8.
- Activities:
- Conduct Role Play: 3rd Grade, Choices #1.
- Show Freeze Frame Video, and discuss questions.
- Complete Student Journal page 9.
- Discuss Assertive “What If” Cards.
